Evidence Analysis
- Copyright 101: By completing the Copyright101 module through BYU I have learned the basics to Copyright Law and can now educate others on the topic. This is also a great tool to be aware of for use as an Educational Technology Specialist in training faculty and staff.
- SDCUE Conference: This conference was specific to Educational Technologies and assisted in my desire to use reverse instruction in my classes. I have since built my own website and started recording instructional videos on a near daily basis. I went to this conference as part of a course assignment and was really happy I had. The conference took place in San Diego and was over one day. There were many sessions through-out the day covering a wide variety of topics. At the time I had gone to most of those covering reverse instruction because it was of interest to me but if this specific conference was to come back to San Diego or the Orange County area I would attend in order to learn more about other educational technologies.
- TECH13OC Conference: More recently, back in early November, I attended a Conference at Mater Dei High School for Technology Educators'. During this day I went to 4 difference sessions including one on STEM. Through the course of this day i learned about potentially great new educational sites for collaboration among educators' as well as how beneficial STEM programs can be in the schools especially using a Studio Classroom setting. While this was required of all faculty and staff of Catholic Schools in Orange County I felt it was very useful and could easily been attended by anyone. The various sessions covered many topics but again I chose to check out those that could benefit me as a mathematics teacher. The sessions on STEM and the TI-NSpire were very informative.
