Reflections

1. Podcast:  This podcast was created to educate teens and parents about some of the basics of Digital Citizenship. The goal of the assignment was to create a short, 1 minute or so, presentation on an aspect of the topic. I chose to create mine for teens because it is the core group I work with and many of them really just do not understand the possible repercussion to posting so openly online.  In this digital age it is becoming increasingly important to incorporate the lesson of Digital Citizenship into every component of the education system. We need to start young and build on it every year, much like you do with the subject of Mathematics.
2. Copyright101: This assignment was to be completed using a program created by BYU. To complete the assignment each student had to complete a tutorial online which took approximately 2 hours.  The video tutorial included video's, and slides of the information regarding Copyright Laws and Regulations. It was very educational and ensures I can at least inform my students and other educators of the basics. More importantly it is now a source I can use in my own courses as I can have students complete it as part of the introduction into my course.
