Reflection:
Over the course of 45 hours I had the privileged of working with an amazing Teacher Librarian, Mrs. Tsuruta. Through her mentoring I was able to experience a wide range of experiences while completing the various projects required for this course. Due to her dual role as Librarian and IT, I was able to see how she interacts with the faculty and staff when collaborating on a lesson or trouble shooting a technology problem. She was a great resource for bouncing ideas off of as I worked towards completing the artifacts you see below. With her knowledge, and expertise I felt comfortable going above what was expected of me and helping her out however I could. Additionally, I felt comfortable coming up with the lesson plan I developed and the mini tutorial videos. She provided the perfect environment for me to learn what a librarian today does on a day to day basis while cultivating my own ideas for use at Ralston or another site. This experience gave me so much to think about when it comes to my own professional growth, and how I can continue to help the faculty and staff at my school grow professionally with technology.
